ROLE DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

As the Director - Austin Business Development you will work closely with the firm's Senior Leadership Team, including Directors and Partners, to advance the firm's objectives and strategic goals. Based in Austin, you will focus on expanding the firm's presence in the region, driving client interactions, and achieving measurable business results.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

New Business Development

  • Identify and build new client relationships within target industries.
  • Increase the number of prospect contacts and convert them into meaningful project opportunities.
  • Expand the firm's client base and project opportunities in target industries.
  • Nurture existing and cultivate new client relationships and strategic partnerships.
  • Create and implement growth strategies aimed at increasing financial returns and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain a diverse network of industry contacts, community partners, and prospective clients.
  • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.

Sales

  • Facilitate the conversion of new project opportunities into secured work.
  • Oversee the end-to-end sales process and assist project teams in negotiating additional services as needed.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Foster long-term client relationships and generate additional project opportunities.
  • Track leads and manage the client database using a CRM system.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Interior Design (Marketing and/or Business Degree)
  • 10-15 years of experience in sales or new business development in the AEC industry, preferably in Commercial Office Interiors.
  • CRM experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of business development core competencies, and has an understanding of relevant services, processes, systems, and procedures of design/consulting projects.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent follow-through and team collaboration.
