2020 Reimaging Downtown Houston’s Allen Center

Our design work at Allen center has been featured in Forbes, Houston Business Journal, CultureMap, Architectural Digest, Bisnow, and most recently in Realty News Report.

In 2017, Phase I of the Allen Center renovation was completed, including a two story glass facade, a re-clad sky bridge connecting to Two Allen Center, a sky bridge removal to allow human traffic on Smith Street, and revamped a ground level green space for gathering all in one Allen Center.

This April, Phase II broke ground to create a vibrant environment relevant to today’s tenant expectations in Allen Center Two and Three.

Two Allen Center’s redesign adds a two-story lobby, a second floor terrace, and updated retail spaces including a restaurant expected to open this fall. While Three Allen Center will gain a renovated lobby plus a new facility with showers and lockers. A new sky bridge will connect the two towers, and elevator lobbies plan to be updated.

PDR and Morrison Dilworth + Walls are working together to help transform Two and Three Allen Center by focusing on two major development features: enhancing stagnant office buildings and embracing street level retail.
